They will learn terminology, positions, barre and center work. We use the Vaganova syllabus, the teaching method internationally recognized by classical ballet professionals to be the best. Primary Ballet A meets once a week. Primary Ballet B meets twice weekly. Teacher: Carol Yearout, Laurel Herrera, Brandyn BoydLength: 1 hrAppropriate for: Children ages 7-10 or Students with limited or no formal training (any age) Ballet I-A FALL 2010 SCHEDULEBallet 10-13This class is for students of any age with at least 3 years of previous ballet instruction or with the instructor's permission. The goal of this class is the introduction of movement and technique used to execute adagio, turn, jumps and leaps. Students will work at the barre for a portion of the class to do pre-pointe work. Teacher: Carol YearoutLength: 1.5 hrsAppropriate for: Students with at least 3 years of previous ballet instruction-- or by teacher's permission.Advanced Ballet I-B SCHEDULEBallet 10-13This class is appropriate for students with at least 4 years of ballet experience or with the permission of the instructor. This is an intermediate/advanced level of ballet and students must attend ballet classes 2 times per week. Students will work at the barre and center and do pointe work. Beginning Ballet 1 (formerly Ballet Basics)Ballet 10-13Beginning Ballet 1 (formerly known as Ballet Basics) is a ballet class for students ages 9 through teens who are just beginning ballet or have limited ballet experience and desire to enroll in a ballet class. Students can progress through Ballet Basics and enter Primary Ballet or Ballet I depending on age and skill level. Students attend twice a week.
