Ballet Classes

This class combines the fundamentals of ballet with classic fairy tales through the use of costumes, props, music and stories. Children will develop self-esteem, courage, poise, femininity and gracefulness. Stories include Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker.

This class is appropriate for students ages 10 and older.  This class will address the needs of students who are new to ballet and students who have completed Primary Ballet. Students will work at the barre and center.  Students must attend ballet classes 2 times per week. 

Ballet I is a ballet class for students ages 8 and 9.  Students now have adequate bone structure to support ballet positions.  Students will work at the barre and at center.  All technique is done in first position.  Students may attend once or twice per week.

This is a ballet class for students between 6 and 9 years old.  Student will learn basic ballet technique at the barre and center without sustaining positions that will stress their bone structure.  Creative movement is incorporated in class but not the primary focus.  Students must be ready to participate in a structured class.

Ballet II/III meets on Thursday 3:30-4:30 and Saturday 9:00 - 10:30. Both classes are required. The cost is $137.70 which includes a 2nd class discount. Students must audition first either on Monday 5:15 or Thur 5:15. If student is wanting to take a recommend 3rd class then the Jazz II or Ballet I/II would be appropriate.
