Kindermusik Village ages Newborn-18 months
Kindermusik Village provides the natural learning your child is ready for from the first days of life. With you at the center of discovery, Village engages all Baby's senses and rewards his curiosity with object and instrument exploration, vocal play, singing, creative movement and a colorful literature component. Multi-level activities encourage you to make creative choices as Baby grows from a lap baby to a crawler and then to a walker! Village opens up new windows--to show your baby more about the world and to show you more about music and your baby. What We Do In Class  Gathering Time: Class begins with a quiet few minutes to get settled in class and to talk with other parents about your children. Warm-ups: Each week we spend a few minutes doing "intentional touch" warm ups. Babies love to have their chests, arms and legs rubbed while mommy or daddy sings a quiet lullaby.
Exercise/Balance: Exercise and balance activities help to tone and strengthen babies' limbs AND babies' brains. Movement: Be prepared to trot in circles, fly through the air, jump on the floor, and dance around the room! Babies love the social and physical aspects of newly discovered movement, especially as they watch other babies around them.
Quiet Time: In our hurried society, relaxation is now a skill to be learned. Each week we take a few minutes to lie down on the floor and relax. This helps children to know that quiet times are good times and not just "bed" time. Foundations of Learning: In class parents are given information about the importance of each activity for their child's brain development.For example, did you know that repetition helps develop the brain's neural pathways and that going barefoot helps a child learn about touch and feeling? Music: We always sing a wonderful variety of songs based on the home CD. Each CD has over 30 tracks of music that your child and YOU will enjoy. Home Activities: At the beginning of each unit, parents receive a Kindermusik Journal with activity ideas for home. You also take home a board book and corresponding wall banners that are centered on our theme. There are also 2 home CDs that are sure to become family favorites.
